Why I Love Insurance

When I was 24 years old, I was working for a major retail chain as a manager. I was driving home from work one night and was hit by a drunk driver. I had a concussion and my new car was totaled.

I called my insurance company and made a claim. The adjuster was patient with me and helped me through a difficult time. It was then that I learned the value of insurance. I also knew that I wanted to help people in the same way that I had been helped.

Within a few months, I became a claims adjuster and have been in the insurance industry ever since. Because I was a claims professional for so long, I have a very thorough knowledge of the products and how they work when you really need them - when you make a claim.

Why I Love Education

Although I have never been a straight "A" student, I like to learn and like to share what I know. As I gained adjusting experience, I began to train newly hired employees about the claims process. I loved it when I'd see people's faces light up as they began to understand a concept. And I always made sure that my classes were fun and packed with good information. I have been told that some of my classes registered on the Richter Scale!

Why I Give Impeccable Customer Service

When I had my accident, I realized what a difference it made that my adjuster always called me when she said she would. I appreciated that, and it helped reduce the stress of a difficult situation. Throughout my career, I’ve always made a special effort to be dependable. This is just who I am; some of my friends call me a Golden Retriever--I'll gladly accept that title!
